The Marvin Gaye Park Trail (I'm pushing for it to be called the Grapevine Trail. I might just start calling it that and see if it sticks) is undergoing a rehabilitation and I recently went out to take some photos - of which only one is any good.
The project, which started in July of 2006 should be done soon and includes: restructuring and resurfacing where needed, adding two bridges, improving existing bridges, Widening the trail from 8 feet to 10, narrowing the street at certain trail crossings, installing new lighting and replacing some unneeded trail sections with grass. The trail was in bad shape the last time I rode it and could use some work. I hope it includes signage as well. Last I heard, work at 295
(below) over Watts Branch would include an underpass for the trail, but I don't see it yet.
