WAGBRAD FAQ
I can't make it to the start, how can I spot you on the route?
I will have a board strapped to the right side of my bike with either the washcycle bike sign symbol or the I BIKE DC sign, like on the t-shirts on the left. Plus we may be a large group moving down the road.
Where can I get water or food?
There are a few parks we'll pass through where you can get free water and several times we'll pass other places to buy such things.
Known Water Points:
Along the CCT at mile 13.4.
Jessup Blair Park at mile 22
Bladensburg Park at mile 29
N. Englewood Park at mile 32.8
Which part is the easiest?
Definitely the first 10 miles. In general, it gets harder as you go.
What should I bring?
Money and a Metro card - Metro is your sag wagon
Usual bike repair items (tools, tubes, air etc...)
Cell phone
Camera
Water
Food - or you could buy this on the way
Bike lock - you'll want to lock it up at National Harbor
Helmet, gloves, etc...as desired
Sunscreen and lip balm
Cue Sheet
How do we get back across the river to VA after finishing at National Harbor?
Bike to Capitol Heights Metro (5 miles back the way we came), ride the Metro Bus or have someone pick you up.
Why are we doing this?
Football season hasn't started yet.

I'm not going to have to help you make your Washcycle sign for your bike, am I?

You would only be "helping me" if I were going to do some of the work...
