Patrick Pogan, the police officer who, last summer, was caught on tape knocking a critical mass cyclist off of his bike is no longer with NYPD.
Police officials say Patrick Pogan was dismissed last week. He was suspended last year after pleading not guilty to criminal charges of filing false paperwork.
His lawyer, Stuart London, says his 23-year-old client resigned and expects to be vindicated at trial.

Geez -- I'm glad I didn't become an attorney. This guy will also lose a civil suit.

The way these thinngs go, they probably asked him to resign instead of being fired. Since he is only 23, there is not much that affects his pension eligibility. If this is a typo and it should say "23-year veteran" then I wonder what effect this would have on his pension and benefits.
In any event, the pictures tell a pretty convincing story.
