Can DDOT run one of these babies up and down the Case Bridge sidepath once or twice a month? Right now we have an assortment of truck parts (one fender and one side panel), an overside paint buckets, and assorted other trash accumulating, not to mention an annoying amount of broken glass.

i assume this photo was taken right before fenty and co. did the ribbon-cutting/ceremonial ride in the contraflow lane this morning? to my eyes they appeared to only sweep about half the lane-- between T and maybe R St, it was overrun w/ those blasted acorns!

DDOT's Ward 2 transportation planner is meeting next week with DPW to confirm the cleaning schedule but it should follow the weekly street sweeping.

John, cleaning the bridge ATLs comes up at each and every BAC meeting. DDOT has contractors who are suppose to take care of bridge maintenance, but I've never seen anyone out there cleaning them. Take a few photos of the worst you see and I'll put them on the blog and maybe we can show DDOT what you're talking about.

@ally: yes, the photo was taken the morning of the mayoral photo op. Unfortunately last night's storms have dropped down a new pile of acorns and leaves.
@Washcycle: yes, I agree that making 15th St 2-way is still a superior option. I live nearby, but am puzzled by my neighbors who preferred to keep it one-way.

Street sweeping is suspended right now until next spring, so I guess that means this sweeper is suspended too?
