No more water this afternoon, just a pile of debris. Easy to carry your bike over, or ride around.

It would be really nice to have a few months with no major weather "events."

Between Wilson bridge and 14th street bridge on MVT it is 100% clear. You can see debris near the 14th street bridge, but that's it.

MVT is mostly clear from 14th Street Bridge north to Rosslyn, but a few nasty spots are still covered in mud, debris this morning. Riding a mountain bike helps.

Concur with Turbine...just rode into downtown and back (didn't go north of 14th St Bridge though). I took note that NPS can clear flood debris off the trail within 48 hours but can't be bothered to clear snow off...

To whoever cleaned up the debris on the MVT between the Humpback Bridge and Memorial Bridge today: Thank you!

Mud and muck still covered several hundred yards of the MVT just north of the Wilson Memorial Bridge this a.m. An NPS work crew was on the scene with a Bobcat scrapping the mud off the trail. Between the Bobcat and the sun, the trail should be much improved by evening.

If this was a street used by car traffic, there would have been crews working around the clock to clear the mess days ago. We should never expect change as long as bikers passively accept that they are second-class citizens in our society. Unmaintained bike infrastructure, including trails that are never plowed in winter and rendered hazardous for up to a month as a result, is just another indicator of how irrelevant biking is in the larger transportation scheme.
