DC unveiled the plans for the redevelopment of Walter Reed. The site plan as shown in the Post would
- Reconnect Dahlia Street
- Reconnect 12th Street
- Create an indirect connection for 13th Street to Luzon
- Connect 14th Place to Main Drive
It's not clear how much those routes will open to the north and west as those plots will be controlled by GSA and the State Department respectively. If those areas allow for cyclists to pass through, it should make it easier for cyclists to get around the neighborhood.
There will be a town hall meeting to discuss the Walter Reed plans at 7pm this evening on the second floor of Delano Hall at Walter Reed, 6900 Georgia Ave. Call 202-727-6365 for information.
