One of the sections where they planted trees is east of the entrance from the Rhode Island Shopping Center. I think that area could have used a couple trees, but the space should have been reserved for another function, e.g., dog park, playground, etc., even though small.

Not much room for a dog park, and the ground is gravelly and rock hard, not the best for playgrounds. Also, crossing what is becoming a major bicycle highway to get to amenities could be dangerous for kids, pets, and travelers. Hope to see the fruits of our labor soon, both literally and figuratively.
