Not to be a negative person, but though it is paved, it's quite possibly the worst paving job in the history of asphalt. There are many Jimmy Hoffa lumps and honestly it was probably better before they started messing with it.

In the interest of not being too negative, I wrote a letter to the city ;).
It really makes no sense why cycling-related projects are often done so poorly when they use such minimal resources and receive so little pressure (i.e. - no cars/trucks tearing up the pavement).
No way would the same workers have done this crappy of a job if it were in the street -- no one would stand for it.
