Good morning.
- Froggie has a fantasy map fix for Columbia Island and the area around it. By funneling the GW Parkway under Memorial Circle, it would allow for a grade-separated connection between the MVT and Memorial Bridge. It would also create new trails on the Virginia side of Boundary Channel; a direct connection to those trails and to the Washington Blvd path from the Humpback Bridge; and a connection to the TR Bridge's downstream sidewalk. The only downside is a slightly longer route for those going from Washington Blvd to Memorial Bridge. But on the whole, it would be a massive improvement. It would also cost a fortune.
- New bike lanes on 33rd Street NW, eventually from M to Wisconsin.
- Time to fess up people, who was going 57mph in Cheverly? I'm guessing it was downhill. It was actually a false positive for a speed camera. They busted another cyclist for going 38 mph. No one was issued tickets in these cases, but I would love to get a ticket for that. I'd frame it.
This appears to be on the Custis Trail. Some are bothered by it. I think it's genius.

I've tried a half-heartedly couple times for the MacArthur cameras at the G-town reservoir - the trigger for cars is about 30-32mph. It'd almost be worth hanging a license plate off the back of the bike just to get the picture in the mail. Then again, I've heard that's a $150 ticket so maybe not worth it.
