Definitely hit-and-run.
I did the upper right one last month. One broken bone and four stitches.

On a more serious note, this is disintegrating infrastructure. If sharrows are to work they need to either be durable, or their re-application needs to be factored into the cost. The problem is they are placed in the right wheel tread path.

I should have said, "if sharrows are going to even have a chance at working". People still need to understand what they mean.
