Good afternoon. I've rewritten the headline everyone is using for the CaBi helmet story
- BETCO plant site along the Capital Crescent Trail south of River Road got planning approval to build townhomes. From the site drawing, it appears the project will include a connection from the trail to the Little Falls Parkway.
- Hilarious craigslist ad about a fixie bike results in no offers. "Stop sign? Fixie don’t care. Car coming turning in front of you at a three-way stop? Fixie laugh."

More trail connections would be nice--there are not enough of those along the CCT.
I note that other relatively new developments along the trail have connections, too--that are access-controlled from the trail side. This despite the fact that one can walk in or drive in from the other side without any access control. This may end up like those.

I almost mentioned that. Those resident-only gates are counter to the public good.

I don't think we gain anything from this connection (should it be open to the public). Little Falls Pkwy at this point is high speed with narrow shoulders and doesn't have any connections to the street grid beyond.
But connecting the town home community to the CCT will be a nice amenity for them. It looks like, though, there will be 4 sets of stairs to traverse up to the level of the trail. Hopefully they provide a parallel wheel tray to help with your bike.
