Is there a route to wolf trap BTW? I've always wondered about this...

There is, and I've done it. You take the W&OD trail out toward Vienna, and there are a bunch of ways to get from there to Trap Road. Some use Wolf Trails park and its trails, others go on road. I think I used some combination of Maple and Beulah roads.

Yup, what washcycle said (re W&OD & Wolf Trails). This bridge should make the final approach much nicer - the old way of cycling with the cars on a narrow overpass wasn't much fun.
