Jeff reports that this started a few days ago "between Route 1 and 38th Street. With this section paved, our levee reconstruction woes would seem to be over. The NE Branch trail has been fully paved, painted and reopened for a week or two now."

They got this section rough paved on Friday before the rain started. It'll need one more finish paving run, but it's in great shape for commuting this week regardless, provided there's no flood debris in the area.

Title says "NW branch," text says "NE Branch." Confused. Can someone post a Google Map link showing where this is?

Route 1 to 38th St would appear to be this stretch of trail, which is the NW Branch. The text notes that the NE branch has been fully re-paved, and that presumably refers to the section where the levee work was being done, between Riverdale Rd and Bladensburg.
