I've seen plenty of hay-mixed "droppings" by the Jefferson Memorial. Apparently horses and their riders like trotting over there. Too bad there doesn't seem to be a federal pooper-scooper law.

Didn't see/smell any horse droppings this morning. I did, however, see many large (football sized) globs of soft asphalt drying in the Penn Ave cycle track. It looks like removal & re-installation of the steel bollards at each intersection is to blame. (And sloppy road maintenance personnel). Hope it gets cleaned up before dark.

On my ride home this evening it was motorcycle cops blocking the 15th Ave. Cycletrack. Apparently, blocking one of the three car lanes was not possible. They instead needed to block the ONE bike lane.
DC's finest.
