Good afternoon
- DC's L Street cycletrack, one of the 7 featured green lanes of 2012.
- DDOE day of service on the C&O Canal Trail.
- Even though the section of the MVT north of the Wilson Bridge looks finished (see photo below) and has been called finished, it's still barricaded by orange jersey wall.
New Trail by M.V. Jantzen

There is a small bridge hidden in those trees just past the orange barriers. My understanding is that it was recently damaged and is impassible.
Fortunately, there is an alternate route just a few blocks west...

Jeff's right that there is a bridge. It was damaged last week and was just repaired within the past couple days. City's bike/ped coordinator reported this afternoon that it's been reopened.

I rode around the park a day or two before the bridge was temporarily closed. The trail is definitely finished. It was merely closed for a week or so because of the damaged bridge.
NPS, VDOT or whoever was responsible for the design and construction did a very good job with Jones Point Park.

C&O or CCT?

The bridge was damaged by a park vehicle driving over it (I really wish they wouldn't drive on trails). I was told last night that it has been fixed.
