I've wondered how this worked. The parade wasn't over until 6:45pm yet the bikes had to be removed by 5pm. How did this work out?

It didn't work out well. I parked in DDOT area and had to leave the parade soon after Obama and company went past so that my bike didn't get disappeared. I should have locked it up elsewhere.
On the other hand, there were several well-armed soldiers and a couple of Humvees guarding my ride, so that was nice.
