This road, with a roundabout at the end, will serve as the connection between the Navy Promenade, the 11th Street Bridge and the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail going upstream. Of course, currently biking on the Promenade is forbidden. It appears there will even be a streetlight inside the roundabout.

Thanks so much for keeping an eye on this! I can't tell you how many times I've walked five blocks south of the shortest route home in hopes of taking the promenade, only to find construction in the way. (Would it be great if DDOT posted detour signs for bikers and pedestrians?!)
