Jach Cochrane wrote a letter to the Gazette about biking facilities on Seven Locks road. It's pretty much perfect.
Opponents quoted in the article say that we shouldn’t encourage walking or biking along major commuter routes like Seven Locks Road. They say that paths ‘‘are better placed in parks.” But most walking and biking destinations, like car destinations, are located along major roads.
Arterial roads provide essential links between and beyond neighborhoods. Pedestrians and cyclists would find it enormously difficult to get around without access to these roads.
