The VASA ride was held on March 4th. It was cold and there was an awful headwind, but the blueberry soup was delicious and the Swedish Embassy is pretty cool. The rooftop deck is awesome and yes, there is a photo of ABBA inside.
There was a gentleman who was taken away in an ambulance after having a mild heart attack, but he is doing well now, so that is good news.
Here is a good write up - with some great photos - about it by crazyguyonabike.
It being Sunday morning, traffic was light and we continued to ride side by side as I used my mirrors to monitor cars approaching from the rear. At the Dalecarlia Reservoir we climbed our second short hill of the day. At the top Char encouraged me to let my faired recumbent rip on the downhill. And so I did. There is nothing quite like riding fast downhill into a 20 mile per hour headwind on a cold day.
Here's also some more info on the ride some photos and the route for the 18 mile version of the ride. http://528000ftbyjune5.blogspot.com/2007/03/vasa-ride.html
