From a WABA alert
This is just a quick note to let you know that WABA's meeting with the Metropolitan Police Department was postponed and has been rescheduled for September 25th.
Unfortunately, in the case of Alice Swanson there is nothing new to report, but the investigation into the crash is still ongoing. In the meantime, WABA continues to work with the District Department of Transportation and the DC Council on specific safety improvements to the intersection where Ms. Swanson was killed and on legislation that will strengthen penalties for drivers who strike cyclists or pedestrians.
We will be sure to keep you up to date on any developments as they occur.
I'm curious...what reason was given for the postponement? Is there an actual investigation ongoing?
I'm afraid it is akin to lack of interest in pursuing bike thieves-the police just hope it all goes away.

I may have jumped the gun in my previous accusations that the MPD weren't going to do anything...but point proven.
What possible reason could they have for delaying a meeting by 1 month? Why are they not being held accountable by the media?
