How can we make Maryland more Bicycle Friendly?
Plan to attend this Information Sharing Forum to discuss our Bicycle Transportation Needs.
ONE LESS CAR in conjunction with several of the local Bicycle Groups is planning an Information Sharing Forum on Monday Oct. 2008 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Parsons Theater at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab-APL Campus off of Route #29 in Laurel Md. We want to bring Bicycle Advocacy Folks together with our elected officials and our state and county transportation planners to discuss our Bicycle Transportation Needs. We want to present a unified message to the Maryland Legislative Session in the 2009 Session in Annapolis. We need to work together as we have before to make Maryland More Bicycle Friendly. We expect the Maryland Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (MBPAC) to attend along with members ofthe Bicycle Legislative Caucus. We have gotten many responses from our elected officials and SHA/MDOT executives indicating that they will attend. We need a great turn-out to show them that we are serious about making Maryland Better and Safer for Bicycle Transportation. We expect several hundred to attend. We expect Bicycle Folks from Baltimore/Washington, DC, Prince George, Montgomery, Baltimore, Anne Arundel and Howard Counties to attend. We will have refreshments. We need you to get the word out to your family and friends. For more info, contact Richard Chambers at rchambers@onelesscar.org or Bill Kelly at ws.kelly@att.net or 410/480-1909.
