I just recently discovered that the meeting minutes for the Maryland Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee are online.
All meetings are open to the public with the exception of MBPAC’s annual retreat meeting, held in August.
Anyway, I'll try to catch us all up on what's going on in the DC area. The minutes are short on details I'm sorry to say.
1. There was some interest in the ICC trail and building a complete trail.
2. They discussed Safe Routes to School
3. The committee asked state Director of Bicycle and Pedestrian Access if bike access would added to the new Nice Bridge in light of recent legislation permitting the Chairperson of MdTA to designate bicycle and pedestrian access on vehicular crossings on a case by case basis.
4. Mr. Jackson announced that there would be an April 14 meeting of the Regional Trail Safety and Design Task Force to look at ways of improving trail crash and injury data collecting and reporting and ways of standardizing some trail traffic control design features.
