The Washington Post reports:
The Maryland State Police surveillance of advocacy groups was far more
extensive than previously acknowledged, with records showing that
troopers monitored -- and labeled as terrorists -- activists devoted to
such wide-ranging causes as promoting human rights and establishing
bike lanes.
No further mention of which advocates where spied on is given in the
article, but I wonder who was it? WABA? One Less Car? Coalition for
Smarter Growth? CRABS?
For those who still might hold on to the notion that any of this spying would be ok, it's worth noting:

The Washington Post indicated today that it was Critical Mass, page A10, and were labeled as a "security threat group".

Critical Mass is not devoted to "establishing bike lanes." Quite the contrary in fact.

This goes back to the RNC in 2004, when the CM'ers rode past Madison Square Garden. That must have been a nightmare for the Secret Service.
