I'm a big fan of "The Amazing Race" (My friend Todd and I would totally win as long as he could do every challenge and I could manage the directions and strategy), so it's pretty cool that host Phil Keoghan is going to bike across the United States to encourage people to pursue a healthy life.
Keoghan will set off from Los Angeles on March 28 and end in New York on May 9 _ the day before the "Amazing Race" season finale airs on CBS, the network said Wednesday.
That's a tight schedule, 100 miles a day. Suck on it Probst.
Damn skippy it is! Oh yeah, DC is one of the 30 cities he'll be riding through. So get ready to tell him "I love you on Survivor."
I seem to remember he walked across Scotland hitting a single golf ball the whole way (I wonder if he went the narrow way or the long way?).
When exactly will he be in DC?

I don't know. It looks like late April, early May. When I know more I'll let everyone know.

Phil's journey got some play on The Fredcast podcast; in it, he mentioned several cities along the route Phil would pass through. I live in Ft. Wayne, which is on the list -- when the itinerary is set, I'd really like to know it, and maybe get to see or even pedal a mile or two alongside Phil.
