Friends of AA Trails reports
Exciting news for the South Shore Trail. Phase II of the trail that will run from the Annapolis Mall to Odenton and the WB&A trail is set close to construction. Thanks to the design and fruition of the Dairy Farm Park, the Shore Shore Trail from Route 3, west to connect to the WB&A trail, with a spur off to the fabulous Dairy Farm should see activity within 18 months.
No word on Phase I that was planned to start this summer.
They also announced the opening of a new ranger station/multipurpose building at Jonas Green State Park.
Under construction for what seems like forever, the new ranger station/multipurpose building is almost completed and a dedication/ribbon cutting is to be held June 6th, as a celebration of National Trails Day. Watch here for more information, and please come join us. Jonas Green Park is a GREAT place to place a lasting gift like a bench to sit and take in the amazing view. Contact us or complete a form.
