This is a shot from an external security camera. You can see a group of cyclists moving toward the camera and a truck following and then an incident that could have easily killed or injured several of the cyclists.
More shocking is that the group of cyclists you see includes the Mayor of London, his director of transport, Kulveer Ranger, and Britain’s transport minister, Lord Adonis (Really? Lord Adonis? Sounds like a infomercial weight machine). They were scouting out potential sites for new cycle "super highways". The routes are part of his plan for a "cycling revolution" in the capital. That's some hands-on mayoring. Thankfully no one was hurt.
Incredible! Thanks for sharing!
Boris Johnson will now stay in my memory for two remarkable things:
1. Wearing the worst fitting suit I have ever seen on an Englishman (at the 2008 Olympics final party where Londong took over the torch)
2. Being a dedicated bike advocate who evaded certain death by a hair.
We have all heard about his bike advocacy but this should give it a new dimension. Is there any more news on this? Interview with the major etc?

The driver was a danger, not just to cyclists, but to pedestrians and other drivers, with an unsecured door.
Lets bet he blames it on the cyclists.
