K Street Transit Way Public Meeting
Wednesday, July 29 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Four Points By Sheraton Hotel
1201 K Street, NW
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the K Street Transitway Project in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
The K Street Transitway Project is located in Washington DC along K Street, NW, and extends between 7th and 24th Streets. The project involves the reconfiguration of K Street to accommodate an exclusive transitway within the existing right-of-way.
Right now two different plans are being considered, one with bike lanes and one without. WABA needs the support of local cyclists to help ensure that the future K Street Transitway is a truly multi-modal project that properly accommodates cyclists.
Any idea how to submit public comment after the fact? I'm trying to push this to members of DCBikeHouse. Thanks!
