There was a ceremony yesterday to celebrate the unveiling of a new playground at Marvin Gaye Park. It made it sound like this marked the end of the Park's reconstruction including the much improved trail - formerly the Watts Branch Trail.
But the last time I was out there, there were several sections of trail still under construction.
There's more about the playground here.
What makes you think that this is the end of the work? I was at the ceremony and it sounded to me like this was just one milestone in many improvements yet to come. as you noted..."Along with the playground, the park will boast a revitalized amphitheater, a restored stream, and 1.6 miles of new hiking and bicycling trails."

I don't know maybe I misread it or I read something else that gave me that impression.
