Missouri passed a law allowing cyclists and motorcyclists to go through a red light if it won't change for them because it works on a detector embedded in the roadway. Blowing through red lights is still illegal.
To proceed through the red light, you must:
2. Wait an unreasonable amount of time. That would be AT LEAST as long as one normal traffic cycle--until it is clear the signal has failed to detect your presence.
3. Wait until traffic is clear and it is safe to proceed.
4. Then proceed cautiously through the intersection.
That's a good common sense law that decriminalizes normal biking behavior. It was pushed by the motorcyclists.
I wonder if MoBikeFed is annoyed that MoBike took the MoBike name and URL.

This really has nothing to do with the Idaho stop.

To you, the reader, no. But to me it did. In that, first I read that MO was changing their law to allow cyclists to go on red (so I thought Idaho Stop), but then I realized that it was very different, but was too harried to change the headline.
