I mentioned Phil Keoghan's ride across America to raise money and awareness for multiple sclerosis and to encourage healthy living, but I missed the coverage of his arrival in Gaithersburg. I had planned to go to the ride, but I had an unusual 8:00 am meeting at work and so I couldn't. For that reason, and I'm sure that reason alone, Phil stayed away from my house. The shame.
Phil Keoghan, host of the television show "The Amazing Race," rallied with about 80 people in Gaithersburg on Tuesday (May 5th) during a pit stop as he bikes across the country to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis.
About 40 people from the Washington, D.C., area biked with him as he left Tuesday's appearance.
Gaithersburg Mayor Sidney A. Katz proclaimed Tuesday Bike MS Day.
The bandage on his face is from a spill he took riding across wet railroad tracks.
