Bike advocate Carl Henn came up a bit short in his race to unseat incumbent Rockville City Councilmember Piotr Gajewski.
An advocate for cyclists, Henn has been involved with the community as an activist for years.
He served as a member of the Rockville Environment Commission, the Imagine Rockville Transportation Action Team, is active in the Rockville Bicycle Action Committee and was past president of the NIH Bicycle Commuter Club.

In 2007 he lost by only 13 votes.
Carl lost by 113 votes in 2007, and 62 votes this year. He was running in a field of ten this year and came in fifth behind Newton, Britton, Gajewski and Pierschala. He came in 5th where the top four win, as he did in 2007 and 2001.
