A large section of the Rock Creek trail was flooded. The trail is in a bit of a trough, so the water hasn't receded. The trail's underwater surface was covered in rippled mud, much like the ocean bottom, making biking through the water perilous. Rock Creek Park, Washington, DC.
The parkway of course is completely clean.
If "waiting for the snow to melt" is good enough for the bike trail, why don't they apply the same strategy to the road? Think of all the money we'd save.

The trail also is covered in ice on several parts. It's a mess.
