The 3 foot passing law has continued to move through the Virginia legislature and now faces its final and most difficult vote. After getting out of the House sub-committee in a 5-2 vote and then the full House Transportation Committee in an 11-10 vote it now goes to the full House. The bill has already passed the Senate and is an unlikely to draw a veto, so this vote is it. Virginians, contact your representatives. The vote will happen either on Saturday or Monday.
NoVa Delegates Patrick Hope, Adam Ebbin and Bob Brink have all sponsored or voted for HB 1048, so if you write them, please thank them for their support. Even though they are likely yes votes, you should write them anyway.
NoVa Delegates Barbara Comstock, Timothy Hugo and Joe May all voted against the law in committee, FYI.
