nice photo. I'm using it in the plan... draft anyway. Umm, don't understand why the special ride was needed? There should be a maintenance plan as part of the management plan for trails shouldn't there?

I have pointed out this issue to DDOT with regard to the Case Bridge ATL for years. (This year the Case users finally moved all the junk of the bridge themselves.) Lets hope they finally start routine, scheduled maintenance of the trails.

John. Next time, try the Daily Gripe. That thing gets results.
Richard, the ART was originally built by a part of DDOT that was associated with the Anacostia River Project. It wasn't the bike and trails people so they may have missed the maintenance plan. But now it's under trails so this ride (which was actually a BAC facilities committee meeting ride) was doubling for the Trails program first look at the state of the trail.
