Bike to Work Day - A Growing Movement

This is a video produced by the State Department. Around 1:23 there is a scene where cyclists turn in a swarm while a ped crosses in the crosswalk. I frown on this, but the pedestrian didn't seem to mind. Them 10 seconds later there's a cyclist going the wrong way on the 15th street cycletrack. But I still think it is a great video that hits all the benefits of cycling.

Oh, the nostalgia! The last shot in the video is of the "old" Pennsylvania Ave bike lanes. Look how safe they are! Look at that kick-ass empty median, where once, I pulled over and off my bike to retie my shoelace. Look at those wide lanes, where you could safely pass to the left of slower riders. *Sigh* It feels so long ago.
