The Gazette has coverage of the Hyattsville Cyclocross this week.
Hyattsville's Magruder Park was once again home to the second Hyattsville Cyclocross on Sunday, and cyclists from around the region turned out to race through the park while raising funds for the Prince George's County's Special Olympics cycling team.
Militello and Chris Davidson, the other co-owner of Arrow Bicycle, coach the county's Special Olympics cycling team and use the race as an opportunity to raise money for the organization. This year's race raised more than $6,000. Last year's event brought in slightly less than $3,000, said Steve Poole, the club's president.
I think the cyclocross race at Old Soldier's Home is coming up soon, right?
Yes. DCCX is Sunday October 24th. Races start at 9:00 and go all day.

Hyattsville CX was a fun race. The weather worked out for spectators. However, the article forgot to mention they had a MOONBOUNCE set up.
DCCX is a great time too. Lots of people come out, because it's nearby.

I'm signed up for the DCCX Rookie Race, seeing as how I'm a cyclocross newb. I'm also doing the Army Ten-Miler run race that same morning. Fortunately the Rookie Race is more about participation than winning, but I'll still give it my best shot.
