When they opened, Capital Bikeshare had said they wanted to have all the stations in by the end of the month. They added at least two more yesterday. That leaves 15 more to go by my count. This is also the last week to get a $50 membership. They've sold at least 3000 of them so far. That makes for at least $150,000 in revenue so far. And that doesn't count daily memberships, monthly memberships or overtime fees. Not bad for two months. The system cost $6.8M to install, btw.
CaBi installed at Union Station - sweet!!!

I think they'll get more memberships as the year goes on. It's surprising how many people don't really know what Capital Bikeshare really is. It'll take some time for knowledge of the system to become more widespread. Probably similar to how MetroRail may have been when it was first being built up.
Some people may also be holding back because of the cooler weather. There might be a big surge in memberships in early spring.
