Unfortunately, these minutes don't include a lot of details. They mention what was discussed, but not what was said about it.
I tried to highlight the most interesting items.
The Tourism Committee reported on the C&O Trail Big Slackwater renovation and the extension of the Western Maryland Rail Trail project. The Commuting and Transportation Committee reported on seeking federal funding for a W&BA trail bridge over the Patapsco River (which sounds wrong, I think they mean the Patuxent - unless the WB&A is to be extended north of BWI).
At the October meeting there was discussion about how
trail users of the planned extension of the Western Maryland Rail Trail be routed around the “Bat Tunnel” which will not be accessible due to anticipated negative impacts upon the bat population residing there. There are concerns of the grade change between the altitude of the WWRT and the C&O Canal Trail which will be used as a detour around the tunnel.
And
John [Wetmore] noted that approximately half of the questions Montgomery County officials raised during a recent meeting with [State Secretary of Transportation] Beverley Swaim-Staley and other state transportation officials were pedestrian and bicycle related.
In December, the Committee voted to ask MDOT to support all 17 of Bike Maryland's legislative objectives and to send a letter to the NPS in support of the Western Maryland Rail trail.
