TBD, continuing to do my job for me, has some added information about the recently announced CaBi station locations in Arlington. Rebecca Cooper has google streetviews of a couple of them and other information about all 16 stations to be installed this spring in the R-B corridor.
The first four will all be installed in the street, because sidewalk space is unavailable. The other 12 stations will be funded this spring, but have not been ordered yet.
The Clarendon, Virginia Square and Ballston Metro stations will all have the CaBi stations, says DeMaio, as well as the Central Library on Fairfax Drive and North Quincy, and one corner of Fairfax Drive and North Glebe Road.
And it sounds like these are just the beginning, with talk of "fattening the spine" all the way to Lee Highway.
CaBi should go ahead and add these to the map, so I won't have to work so hard visualizing it.
Dave Jamieson adds that this is going to be a very good thing for the area, and CaBi users.
If there were CABI stations on Lee Hwy, I wood be using 'em every day! That would be *great*
