Gabe Klein as been named Chicago’s transportation chief by new Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
Emanuel, a cyclist himself, has said he wants to build 100 miles of new bike lanes in Chicago during his first term, Transportation Nation reported.
“Now Chicago has a pro-bike, pro-transit pair in charge of transportation policy,” Transportation Nation said.
How come Emanuel, who was elected after Gray, already has a new DOT head and we don't? Good luck Gabe. May you have an easier time there than you did here.
chicago is so lucky! damn, gray, can't believe you let him go.

How come Emanuel, who was elected after Gray, already has a new DOT head and we don't?
Gray's still searching for a DDOT head who will satisfy his supporters who wanted bikes outlawed from the public roadways, while not alienating those who want expanded cycling and pedestrian infrastucture.
CONSENSUS!!
