We succeeded in getting House Bill 363, Manslaughter by Motor Vehicle - Criminal Negligence, out of Committee and before the full Senate with an agreeable amendment that changes "substantial deviation" to "gross deviation" from the standard of care. This is great news as the change is consistent with the original purpose of the bill which is to make Maryland's roadways safer and our system more equitable.
The bill is on the Senate floor RIGHT NOW and still faces tough opposition from some Senators. Please send a letter to YOUR Senator and/or a letter to ALL Senators IMMEDIATELY - a vote will occur on Monday!
