New signs on the RCP, still confusing

There used to be just a stop sign, but that didn't work. So if one sign doesn't work, the answer is two.

As one traffic engineer writes:

Doesn't marking the crosswalk and having STOP signs on the trail confuse the right-of-way assignment?
