The Alexandria Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Council are planning an informal ride around
the east end of Alexandria to highlight some of the great things (and future great things) that make up our bicycling network. Anyone who is interested in our bicycling network and the work that is going on to make it better is invited to attend. This will be a low speed ride for riders of all abilities. To keep things manageable, we will limit this to 30 people.
The ride will begin at St Elmo's Coffee Pub (2300 Mt Vernon Ave), and include bike paths in Del Ray, ongoing development projects at Four Mile Run and Potomac Yard, Old Town, and points in between. The whole ride will cover about 13 miles and take about 3 hours, including brief stops to talk about street design, trail design, and ongoing projects.
