Great for locking up a recumbent though. I used to have a 'bent and it was always tough finding things to lock to.

Same problem with the zip car spot in Mt. Pleasant.

Of course, according to Sheldon Brown, the proper technique for locking a bike is to lock to the rear wheel through the rear triangle with a separate cable to the front wheel. This pole is set up perfectly for that!

Yeah, Sheldon's recommendation is how I lock up to hoop fences treeboxes downtown. I could do the same with that pole
