- Alexandria is converting its fleet of tourist-family trolleys to hybrid vehicles with bike racks on the front.
- NoVa is healthier than RoVa, and part of the reason is that "the construction of bike paths and sidewalks makes it easier to stay in shape"
But mostly, because wealth is correlated with health.

But even the wealthy are heavier than they used to be. It still takes regular exercise and good nutrition to stay healthy.
As for the bike racks on the trolleys (buses), I guess they're nice, but will anyone really need to use them? It's not that far from the King Street Metro to the riverfront by bike. Maybe one mile at most and no steep hills.

True, but the point is that (currently) Loudoun and Arlington County have very little in common with respect to the bike & sidewalk (and other) infrastructure; what they do have in common is being on the top 5 list of highest median income counties, not only in Virginia, but in the entire US.
