Bollards - Arlington County has determinted that hard metal bollards and bollard collars are inconsistent with the ADA. The collars are being removed.
Bike lanes - Bike lanes have been installed between Vacation and Military.
CaBi expansion - The comment period is over, and BikeArlington is now seeking input from civic associations. There is a potential conflict between the CaBi station and the Transit Center in
Shirlington.
Washington Blvd. MVT crosswalks - NPS is consulting County Staff on these projects (even though they're in DC).
Washington Blvd bike trail - Lot of concern from the residents of the Penrose neighborhood regarding the location and the potential for tree loss. Rich Viola met with the civic association and was informative and helpful. The commission had not made any decision regarding support for the trail. There was significant discussion about where the northern connections to the Washington Blvd trail would be. There were a number of connections to the community in the north and west.
Rosslyn Circle - Arlington County wants to widen the trail along Lee Highway, but VDOT denied the permit application.
Shirlington - The Road Diet Plan for Shirlington has been published (I can't find it online) and Arlington County is getting significant pushback from the Nauck Revitalization Organization.
The Arlington Fun Ride is scheduled for Sat Oct 6 at 0800.
