Good afternoon
- More on the proposed parking regs. This DCist post makes it seem that the study was never completed, but - just so you know - it was.
- Traffic fatalities are up in NYC."The report said a preliminary analysis suggested that the crashes were concentrated on highways, far removed from many of the areas that have been the focus of the city’s initiatives."
- Biking the Canal de l’Ourcq in France
Thanks for posting the NYT article but the factual errors ie. wheat ready for harvest in August - wrong - plus the arrogance that they are "vacation" cyclists who would never be caught dead in Spandex is too much for me. I love the NYT but sometime these travel articles are just too much.

Pretty much anything concerning "culture" in the NYT is almost entirely the perspective of the moneyed chattering classes in Manhattan.
