so called justice system is broken beyond repair.

those are "standard" punishments...the typical response of uneducated bureaucratic institutions.

why doesnt his community service be mandated to help bicyclists and help build bicycle infrastructure? why doesnt he take classes in the built environement and why his gas is subsidized and have the psychology of why he acted as he did explained to him?

because the punishment is ultimately as bad and pointless as his actions: it is punitive, and simply meant to hurt. it is as idiotic, developmentally retarded and developmentally immature as was his acting out on the road with a car against a bicycle...

and if you talk or know prosecutors or lawyers, much less those in "corrections," you damn well know they are very far from the brightest lights in the harbor...
