Wed 5 June, 7:00pm
Location: National Community Church, 535 8th Street SE
Officials of the 11th Street Bridges Project will make a presentation on and answer questions about the background, current status, and future completion of this important vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian link between Capitol Hill and Anacostia and points beyond. While the work on the two freeway and one local bridge began in 2009, most of the current construction (and resultant detours) are now occurring on the Capitol Hill side of the Anacostia River. So, bring questions about the project itself and current and future implications for multi-modal traffic.
This presentation will be the major part of the ANC6B Transportation Committee's June meeting. Committee matters will be handled between 6:30pm and 7:00pm, leaving the balance of the meeting to the Bridges presentation and Q&A. There will be a signup sheet for those who wish to participate in a future tour of the Bridges project.
For more information on the meeting/presentation, contact Kirsten Oldenburg,[email protected].
