I think the Logan Circle ANC's language would be a benefit overall, especially combined with concerns about equal access for bicycles. It would address locations where riding on the road is unsafe and riding on the sidewalk is unwelcome.

On paper, it would help give a shape to some of DDOT's current commitments by (perhaps) increasing the standards and priority for construction. I'm thinking of areas beyond Logan Circle like Georgetown or New York Avenue in near NW. (Reality is different, of course - they already have more project plans than they can execute.)

The outer suburbs saw the biggest drop in driving. But that was before Gov. McDonnell increased the subsidy to long-distance drivers in Virginia by reducing the gas tax and increasing sales taxes.
